About Winnwood Elementary

Winnwood Elementary is one of two schools in the North Kansas City School District that is in session 12 months a year (click to view calendar) Our extended calendar provides 30 extra days of learning and growth for our students in a variety of ways. Winnwood is a small elementary school serving approximately 280 students in grades pre-k through fifth. 

At Winnwood we are committed to providing every student with a high quality and individualized education. We believe that all of our students will achieve or exceed grade level standards, by any means necessary, because our students are highly capable of achieving at high levels. We believe that everyone has genius. Our Winnwood family strives to empower each and every student to reach their fullest potential in everything they do.    

Our mission statement is to create and uphold a respectful and safe community consistently focused on high achievement through academic and personal growth of all learners. Winnwood students strive to practice the core values of being respectful, responsible and kind throughout the school day.
